The competitions of Azerbaijan Cup among youth and young athletes on table tennis that started from October 11 which jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation have been completed in the “Şüa” Sports and Health Complex. Nearly 130 athletes from Baku and Sumgait and also other parts of the country have participated in the individual and team competition.

The competition finished on October 15. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Fazil Mammadov Vice-President of the Table Tennis Federation of Azerbaijan congratulated the participants on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the country's independence. He stressed the establishing of sports and health infrastructures that meeting modern standards and great care and attention of our country to the sport. Hosting of international sporting events and a number of significant competitions of Azerbaijan are the result of these. F.Mammadov spoke about the issues for development of table tennis in last years and congratulated the winners in the end. Diplomas, trophies and awards were presented to   tournament winners.

The newly appointed vice president of Table Tennis Federation of Azerbaijan Sabuhi Mehdizade has been presented to the sport community.
