An international tournament on table tennis among juniors dedicated to the 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev has been held in Baku Sports Palace on 3 May.  Along with Azerbaijan, more than 70 table tennis players from Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Russia and Latvia competed for the international tournament.  The 2004-2007, 2008 born  and younger athletes participated in the tournament.   On the first day of the race, 2008 and lesser athletes have been tested.   Arzu Aslanova, I represent the country among our girls, and Marzia Nurmatova II.   Audain Tuba Simsek from Azerbaijan and Aylin Asgarova from Azerbaijan won third place.   The representatives of Azerbaijan among the boys - Huseyn Eylazov I place, Adil Ahmadzade - II place. Turkish sportsman Mustafa Nebhan and Azerbaijani athlete Rustam Hajili won the third place.   Among the girls in 2004, Iran was represented by Elina Rahimi, the second place was taken by Russian representative Maria Sharipova, the third place was taken by Azerbaijani representatives Laman Abdulhamidova and Mehriban Dadashova.  Iranian athlete Ashrafi Parham I, Azerbaijani sportsman Emin Mammadov, Iranian sportsman Samran Kerimi and Azerbaijani athlete Kenan Panahov were third.  The winners were awarded by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Ismayil Ismayilov, vice-president of the Table Tennis Federation Fazil Mammadov, President of the Table Tennis Federation of Turkey Fateh Karaca and President of the Iranian Table Tennis Federation Mehrdad Aligardashi
